What are rash guards?
For most cases, a rash guard is literally a "guard" against "rash." Most of the time you see people mention rash guard for surfing and martial arts, but it has now become a shirt for water sports, training, and outdoor activities.
A premium rash guard creates an extra layer of protection from sun and the elements, including surfboards, the inside of wetsuit, the frictions from the combat sports, flies and bugs from the mountains and many more. It usually comes with UPF50+ so it can also serves as a sun shirt for your daily walk.
Technically, rash guard is supposed to be tight and form-fitting so it is supportive to your muscle movement and doesn't move around to rub your skin. For more casual routines, you can look for styles that are labeled with "regular fit" or order 1-2 sizes bigger for a more relaxed fit.
What is the difference between a rash guard and compression shirt?
Simply put, our rash guards can serve as compression shirts for your running and training days, but not all compression shirts can be served as rash guards. We made sure our rash guards are made with skin-friendly four-way stretch fabric that comes with moisture-wicking and quick-drying functions. Most importantly, it must has UPF50+ to protect you against harmful UVA & UVB for the sunny days. Put it on and you are ready to take on the trail running from mountain peak to beach shore.
When should you wear a rash guard?
In addition to the occasions we mentioned, you can also wear rash guards and limit the amount of sunscreen you put on to protect coral reefs from dying off.
